Missouri Institute of Summer Leadership Scholarship (Fulton)

These scholarships cover the cost of full registration to attend the Summer Leadership Camp at William Woods University in Fulton. Value of scholarships are $250 each and available in the Spring Newsletter.

Missouri Association of Executive Directors Scholarship

Two outstanding student council leaders will be awarded a $1,500 scholarship. Each MASC member school can nominate one senior--preferably your president or other officer.

Nona Hyde-Lenora Younger Scholarship

Provides full registration and $100 travel expense to a National Leadership Camp. Any student in grades 9-11 may apply. One candidate per school. Interviews will be conducted at the State Convention in March. The nominee must be one of your State Delegates. Completed applications must be postmarked by March 1.

Marvin Fleming Memorial Scholarship

A full scholarship to the MASC Workshop in June at William Woods University. One candidate per school. A letter of recommendation from student council advisor nominating student's qualities and experiences. Completed applications must be postmarked by March 1.

Mel Guemmer Memorial Scholarship

A full scholarship to the MASC Workshop in June at William Woods University. Student must participate in Student Council and Varsity Sports. One nominee allowed per school. A letter of recommendation from student council advisor outlining student's leadership qualities. Verification of varsity letter from a coach or athletic director. Letters of nominations should be mailed to MASC office, postmarked by March 1.

Dennis Lock Scholarship

A full scholarship to MASC Workshop in June at William Woods University. This scholarship is sponsored by Lindbergh High School in honor of
former Missouri Executive Director, Dennis Lock. Please write of letter of recommendation for this student outlining his/her leadership potential. Completed letters of recommendations must be sent to Terri Johnson by March 1.

Kevin "Cubby" Houska Scholarship

UMKC Student Leader Scholarship

This is a new scholarship opportunity for student council leaders. UMKS is offering 8 scholarships to Seniors involved in student council who plan to attend their campus in the Fall, 2004. The $2,000 scholarship is available only to student council members. Contact Terri Johnson or UMKC Admissions Director, Jennifer Deheamers 816-235-1111. Deadline is March 1.

Outstanding Junior High-Middle School Award

A committee of judges will review your application. A personal interview will take place at the State Convention. Selection will be made and announced at the conference.
