61TH STATE CONVENTION--March 12-14, 2009

The Missouri Association of Student Councils annually host a State Convention. The 2009 Convention will be held at Waynesvill High School.  This convention brings together over 1000 student leaders throughout Missouri for a three-day convention. Highlights include: nationally known speakers, student led workshops and breakout sessions, banquet, dance, campaigning and election of state officer schools, scholarships, and recognition of Honor Council recipients. All member schools may bring four delegates and must be accompanied by an adult advisor.

MISSOURI INSTITUTE FOR STUDENT LEADERSHIP--June 7-12, 2009

MASC sponsors an annual week-long student leadership camp on the campus of William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri. The Summer Leadership Institute is open to all students in grades 7-12 from both public and private schools in Missouri. The curriculum is an active, hands-on, and high energy learning experience. Daily topics and breakout sessions include: problem solving, project planning, self-esteem, parliamentary procedure and meeting skills, teambuilding, large and small group activities/projects. All students who attended the Missouri Institute for Student Leadership in June are invited to this mid-winter student led energizer. It is hosted by nationally recognized student council advisors in Missouri to rejuvenate your student officers for second semester.
