summer leadership workshop

The flagship event of the Missouri Association of Student Councils is the Summer Leadership Workshop. Held every year in June, the Summer Leadership Workshop is a weeklong leadership camp on the campus of William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri and brings together over 700 of the best and brightest student leaders in Missouri. The event is open to all students who will be entering grades 8 – 12 from both public and private schools across the state. The curriculum is an active, hands-on and high energy learning experience. Daily topics and breakout sessions include problem solving, service, large/small group activities and projects, self-esteem, parliamentary procedure and meeting skills, project planning and team building.

Each delegate who attends the Summer Leadership Workshop will have the chance to form a bond with a council made up of 20 – 25 students from other schools, plan and perform a service project for the children of Fulton, have the opportunity to raise money for MASC’s Charity of Choice, Special Olympics Missouri, and attend student and advisor led roundtables and resource sessions. It truly is the single most significant learning experience of your life.

How the registration process works

1.  Open Enrollment - April 9 - 26 - All schools may enroll three students PLUS scholarship winners during this time.  Scholarship winners do NOT count as one of your three students.  Visiting advisors should be enrolled during this time too.

2.  Fast Fingers Enrollment - April 26 - May 12 (may close sooner if we fill all our beds) Your school can enroll as many students as you would like beginning on April 26.  Students may complete the application themselves, but with your approval.  I strongly suggest you be ready to enroll your additional students on April 26.  We anticipate more kids will want to attend camp this year and we are only allotted a specific number of beds on campus, these will go quick.  SO be ready...hence the name FAST FINGERS!
